Bishop of Western American Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Mr. Maxim, made a working visit to Mexico from 9-12 May 2013. On that occasion, he held the liturgy for Serbian nationals belonging to the Serbian Orthodox Church, at the Russian Monastery in central Mexico City, and also visited the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia to Mexico, where he talked with the members of the mission.
On this visit, Bishop Maxim expressed his wish to establish closer and stronger contacts with the Serbian Orthodox Christians living in Mexico, as well as with the academic and other institutions in that country.
